My sinuses are melting through my face. My nose drips down into my lap and the steam from a tea that was earned fills my watery eyes with aroma and permeates my flesh. Suddenly, I am alight. My skin becomes softer and softer until it beams and glows all around me like a pool of eternal water. Within the lake of my body lies a soul, gently floating. It’s hair is lingering and moving around its face, pulsing with a beat. It’s eyes are a violent blue, screening flowers before you. It sings in a tremor, solid and freeing. The water is a clear teal, and is on fire with light. Beams dance upon the water of my body as though they were breaking through clouds on the day a prince was born.
A seed blooms inside the soul, it grows and grows faster than known to man and within that seed is a hope. That seed become a tree which breaks through the soul and roots itself. The soul is caught within the tree, it’s face gazing out from the bark and a smile on it’s lips. From the branches of the large tree grows leaves, which open and within the leaves lie little fairy folk. They awake and yawn dainty yawns, their tiny formulaic bodies shivering. Wings sprout from them and they all leap into the air and begin dancing about. They bring life. Every time their toes touch the water, lilies grow and burst and bloom and giggles abound everywhere.
The soul is shedding tears. The tears become the water. The fairies drink the water. The water is my body. The fairies are drinking me up, my soul is shedding my to quench the thirst of the fairies, the fairies bring life around them and the life drinks the water and the water is me.
I am pregnant with the glow of the Earth and the lives within it that feed me and clothe me and give to me and I am swollen with love for them. I am the Goddess, as are you, as is your mother and your mother’s mother, and so on. We are pregnant with the life we carry and we are the givers of breathe and consciousness.
My nose continues dripping as I sit here, eyes closed, music playing softly in the glow of my candle. The tea is a bit cooler, and I am now able to draw the cup to my lips and swallow the liquid. The flowers in the water.
