Eggs

whatever happened to your knees
they're packed with amphetamine
boiled and bursting, your body's a wasteland
for the smallest creatures to feed off of

I dozed half awake,
doped and lost in big black boots
I was the only one who could have
been mistaken for clean
thick sludge blood
calling out your name

the name of a name, to name a few
I lost myself in the quest of you
broken, beaten,
you are more than a brute
you stampede into my life
and pillage and loot

drowned in the sound of a passing airplane
I'm lying on a dirty mattress, now awake
the king of all things, the philosopher of truths
where are your knees now, and do you know how much you take?
