and be amazed at the green
to gaze at the sea
and give it a piece of me
to look at the world
with wide open eyes
eager and hungry
for the miracles of air and lungs
arms outstretched,
I will embrace you
I will not be broken, or
left mangled by uncertainty
I will challenge myself
to love each and everything
until my soul decides
it's been enough loving
and moves upward through
my body, left to fertilize
the tree of life,
the leaf of green.
